AIM High Student Releases Debut EP ‘The Road Ahead’

Ellis Hall, AIM High graduate, launched his EP on 3rd November 2016 at the Boat Shed in Manly, NSW, followed by a State-wide tour.

Ellis was an AIM high student at the Sydney Campus in 2014 and 2015, and we’re ecstatic to see that his professional musical career is flourishing.

The debut EP is called ‘The Road Ahead’ and was recorded over 3 months.  Ellis, who is just 19, travelled overseas for 6 months as it was mixed and mastered.  Now back in Australia, a music video dropped a few weeks ago for lead single ‘Don’t Let The Sun’ and CDs have been pressed.

During his time at AIM High, Ellis’ profile was lifted as a band member under the mentorship of Dannii Minogue on X Factor.  He made it to the Top 12.  Since then, he has been writing music and playing as much as possible.  “I made lifelong friends at AIM High, it has 100% helped my career,” Ellis says. “I love creating music, playing music – with amazing people.”

Ellis says his dream is to keep making music for the rest of his life, and hopes to soon travel to and play other cities in Australia.  Asked if there is any interest from record labels or management, the musician remains tight-lipped.

“There’s stuff in the pipeline.”

Ellis’ live band generally consists of AIMers he studied with, demonstrating not only the close ties but the professional relationships which can be forged with friends and classmates at the Australian Institute of Music.  AIM congratulates Ellis on his success thus far and wishes him all the best for the road ahead!
